All of our curly haired friends know the struggle of keeping curls fresh and bouncy all year round. The summer heat and humidity is setting in—along with the frizz—but no worries we’re going to let you in on our favorite method that will change your morning (or night) routine. You'll be saying bye-bye to unwanted frizz and hello to supple and rejuvenated curls!
How can your lifeless curls be transformed, you may wonder? Let our (Spin)Strands Bundle and a cotton t- shirt (yes, a t-shirt!) do all of the work. We’re going to break down the “plopping” method (which you may have heard of) for curl setting into a few easy steps. So plop yourself down and read on!
// Begin your routine by washing and conditioning your hair in the shower as usual. While conditioning, if your hair is tangled, run a wide-tooth comb through it.
// When you hop out of the shower, dry your hair a lil’ bit with a cotton t-shirt (you don’t want to put the products in sopping wet hair!)
// Next, run some (spin)therapy moisturizer through your luscious locks and follow it up with the (spin)styler gelly! Experiment with different amounts of each until you find the perfect amount for your hair type.
// Scrunch damp hair and work your curls into shape and lay your cotton T-shirt on flat surface and “plop” your curls right down in the middle of the shirt.
// Fold the bottom sides of the shirt in and then wrap the sleeves around the top of your head and tie them in a knot
// Brush your teeth, eat some brekkie, and do what you do before you head out the door! You can keep your hair wrapped up from 5 minutes to 55 minutes (or even longer! Some people even sleep with their hair plopped! Just figure out a length of time that works for you!)
// Afterwards, spritz your curly locks with a few pumps of our hydrating (spin)mist to keep it hydrated throughout the day.
// Finally, exude confidence as you embark on your adventures for the day, knowing that your curls are lookin’ great!
